I adore Daphne Guinness! She is the ultimate of style icons and in my eyes, she can do no wrong.
Her awe-inspiring wardrobe, both frivolous and gothic, never fails to enthrall me. She is the essential Queen of Couture.
That's why I couldn't be more excited for Monday, December 8th; The Sunday Times Style Lecture with Daphne Guinness in conversation with Colin McDowell.
My Mom and I are going to get dressed up, head to Harvey Nichols where it is on and be treated to champagne and a goodie bag.
I'm anticipating it more than Christmas day!

Beach Babe
This photo just brightened up my day. Princess Natalia chilling out in Rio, looking as fabulous as ever.

Natalia just has to be my favourite model ever; both adorable and sexy, with a Cinderella life story that inspires one and all.
I just wish she would grow her hair long again... but then again, that might make her too perfect.

Oh Simone
Simone Rocha is pretty much considered to be one of Dublin's darlings. Daughter to Ireland's own John Rocha, she recently completed her studies for a BA in Fashion Design at Ireland's prestigious National College of Art and Design and has gone on to pursue a MA in London, at Central St. Martins.

One may overlook her as riding on her father's coat-tails, but this certainly isn't the case. Simone's designs are all her own, possessing a certain air and fluidity that has caught everyone's attention. I have known of Simone for quite some time now, but only became acquainted with her work in recent times; I'm in love with all of it!
Simone has been noted to favour contradictions; think masculine tailoring, softened by feminine layers and luxurious details blended with hard-wearing materials; both recipes that appeal to many a stylish taste. All one can do though is wait with avid patience, as Simone Rocha is yet to be found in stores.
Pictures taken from her website. Check it out, if not only to pour over her other designs, but to take a peep at her envy inducing Curriculum Vitae, which notes the likes of Marc Jacobs, Nylon Magazine and Chinese Vogue, to name but a few.

Comment On COMME
Am I the only person really not all that fond of the new COMME des GARCONS range for H&M, due to be in stores from mid-November?
I don't really get the women's collection at all. The above two pieces really perplex me!
To be fair, there are a few gems to be found on the men's side of things, I found myself instantly drawn to the below textured blazer.
What do you think? Will you be queing overnight to nab a piece from the collaberation?

Currently Coveting
I'm getting quite tired of the sporadic downpours that keep catching me off guard, when I leave the house on a sunny morning wearing pretty pumps and end up with waterlogged feet after traipsing home in the rain.
You think I would have learnt my lesson by now, no?

That's why I've taken quite a liking to these sleek and sturdy Burberry Wellington Boots. Stylish and practical, what's not to love?

Timeless Treasures
I recently found this old Polaroid of my Grandmother when I was at home visiting her. It's one of my favorite photos ever and definitely something I would save if my house were one fire.

I really like the colours and tones of the picture, the brightest thing being the slick of red lipstick my Granny is wearing.
I also love the panorama of the old Irish countryside, whilst she is standing statuesque in the foreground, with the farmer passing by in the background.

Alternative Art
Bored in the library, distracting myself from an Economics project and looking at pretty pictures instead.

Thank You America
I've never been more excited, hopeful and joyous about something that doesn't directly affect me.

Obama '08 will never be forgotten; we're after experiencing one of the most important moments in history.
The added bonus of Michelle appearing to be the most stylish First Lady since Jackie O is more than wonderful.
