What did you guys think of Steven Meisel's Twitter inspired cover and editorial for Vogue Italia? Personally it made me feel ill, but you've got to give the guy credit; this issue is going to sell out for pure novelty alone.

The cover, featuring Christy Turlington, Lara Stone, Gisele, Kasia Struss and Natalia Vodianova. Yes this is an actual Vogue cover, I didn't just whip it up on Paint on my computer. I know.

Twitter style index of all the models featured. Or who you are following, I should say.

Gisele steaming up her iPhone.

My favorite pic, Sessilee Lopez smoking on the balcony.

And my favorite model Abbey Lee... on the loo... hmm.
Overall I hated it! I liked some bits, but I really hope no-one follows Meisel's lead. Otherwise I might cry.
I don't really understand the big deal with Twitter. I think it's quite crap to be honest. I only use it to give more leverage to my blog and at that I don't update as much as I'm apparently meant to. I don't see how it could be so inspiring...

I like the concept of it as a one off idea. Personally I prefer my editorials to be professional and pretty...but sometimes its good to shake things up a bit and get us thinking...about the world as it is today, technology & fashion and whats possible now. The more I think about it the more I like it. Its not typical Vogue but maybe thats what's so great about it. If I saw this in something like dazed & confused I wouldn't think twice but because its in Vogue it challenges all your preconceptions.
Same here! I mean, facebook has those mini-updates anyway, so why do I want to read them a second time on a twitter account!!!!? I only use it for blog stuff really!
It's sloppy, and I really dislike the font and colours used.
Unfortunate that, but then again, I do get what they were trying to do with that.
Ever since Cheryl Cole 'graced' the covers it's been downhill hahah.
moda, por favor!
I think this is quite crap as well. And I don't understand Twitter either. I joined and posted one update which I likened to drunk dialing as I posted it while under the influence and was embarrassed afterward and didn't know how to remove. The only use I found was during the Iranian conflict I changed my time zone to theirs so that the government would have a more difficult time finding dissidents and shutting down their accounts. Re the loo picture, Wingate Paine did a much better one in his book MIRROR OF VENUS (with words by Francoise Sagan and Federico Fellini).
