I have been completely off the radar recently and unfortunately have missed out on some fab things that have been going on around Dublin.
Never the less, there are a couple of very exciting events to report and even though I'm a bit behind the times, it's better late than never!
Brown Thomas and
BT2 have really been pulling out all the stops lately. Despite the most turbulent times to hit our good old Irish economy in quite a while, I've never been as impressed with Dublin's most fashion forward emporiums, as I am now.

I was über excited when I heard that
Illamasqua opened a concession in BT2 on Grafton Street. It is one of my new favorite make-up brands and never ceases to awe and amaze.
Their collections and products are truly pioneering, as the above image of this season's Sirens range conveys. They not only create flawless night time make-up looks, they truly create works of art.

Barbie celebrated her
50th birthday this year and BT2 dedicated an amazing window installation to the iconic doll, in order to mark the occasion in style.
BT2 managed to acquire the original Barbie mannequins made by
Rootsein, which revolved in the store windows during the celebrations.
These awe inspiring life-size and life-like Barbie dolls are so in demand and nearly impossible to obtain, that the only other places they have been unveiled were at the
Mattel Barbie Party in
Collette in Paris and at the
Dover Street Market party in New York.
Other in store activities included a huge party in the Grafton Street store, featuring a pink carpet, delicious pink cupcakes, sweet and sticky candy floss, French macaroons from
Ladurée, pink lemonade from Lorina and snipes of pink Jolie.
Barbie certainly would have approved!
